Tracy Robinson, Advisory Board

Tracy Robinson is a senior lecturer and Deputy Dean (Graduate Studies and Research) at the Faculty of Law, the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona Campus, Jamaica. Robinson is a co-founder and co-coordinator of the Faculty of Law UWI Rights Advocacy Project (U-RAP). She has authored many regional expert reports on the law related to gender, sexuality, and human rights in the Caribbean and has been involved in legal and policy reform aimed at furthering gender equality and children’s rights in the Caribbean. She served as a commissioner on the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) as well as the body’s president (2014-2015). Robinson also served as the IACHR Rapporteur on the Rights of Women and the first Rapporteur on the Rights of LGBTI persons. In 2016, she was appointed a Commissioner on the WHO/PAHO-led Independent Review of Equity and Health Inequalities in the Americas
