Pooja Bhatia - Clinical Superviser

Pooja Bhatia is a Clinical Supervisor at the University Network for Human Rights. She is a journalist and former human rights lawyer who has been researching and writing on Haiti for more than 15 years. Her work has appeared in a variety of outlets, including the London Review of Books, The New York Times, The Guardian and the Economist, where she was Haiti correspondent in the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake. Much of her journalism takes a rights-based approach, including coverage of humanitarian intervention, legacies of colonialism, accountability and reparations, and migration.

Pooja holds a JD from Harvard Law School and an undergrad degree from Harvard. She currently lives in California.
